Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma subject of âŹ65m approach from Al Nassr –

Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr have approached Brighton & Hove Albion with a formal offer to recruit winger Kaoru Mitoma. The proposal submitted to the Premier League side for Japan international Mitoma is worth âŹ65million but has been formally rejected. Al Nassr are working to complete the signing of striker Jhon Duran from Aston Villa and have made Mitoma, 27, the top target to fulfil their aim of bolstering in the wide attacking areas. Mitoma last signed a new contract at Brighton in October 2023 and is under contract until June 2027. He joined the English team from Japanese side...

Arsenal optimistic David Raya will be fit to face Manchester City –
Jan 30th, 2025
Arsenal are optimistic that David Raya will be available for selection against Manchester City on Sunday. The Spanish international missed Arsenalâs 2-1 win over Girona in the Champions League on Wednesday night, with on-loan Neto deputising. At this stage, there are no serious concerns over a protracted absence for Raya, and the expectation is that he will return to the squad this weekend. Speaking in Girona at his post-match news conference, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said 29-year-old Rayaâs absence was due to injury. âHe certainly could not play, heâs injured and thatâs it,â...

Jan 29th, 2025
Manchester United are interested in a potential move for Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel, should the 19-year-old be made available to leave on loan before the transfer window closes. The Premier League club are not actively progressing the situation while they focus on departures, but signing Tel on a temporary basis carries appeal at Old Trafford. Contact so far has been with Tel’s representatives, rather than with Bayern. Head coach Ruben Amorim is keen to add reinforcements this month with a broad agreement already reached for the signing of full-back Patrick Dorgu from Lecce. Tel is...

Arsenal win appeal against Myles Lewis-Skelly's red card during Wolves victory –
Jan 28th, 2025
Arsenal have won their appeal against the red card issued to Myles Lewis-Skelly during their 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday. The Athletic reported earlier on Tuesday that Arsenal would appeal the decision and the FA announced later in the day that an independent regulatory commission had upheld the challenge. That means Lewis-Skelly has avoided a three-match ban he would have otherwise received for ‘serious foul play’. The 18-year-old was shown a straight red card for ‘serious foul play’ by referee Michael Oliver in the 43rd minute of the game...

David Coote, the former Premier League referee sacked after making derogatory comments about ex-Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, has come out publicly as being gay and said that hiding his sexuality contributed to the behaviour that led to his dismissal. On December 9, Coote had his contract terminated by the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) following an investigation into his conduct. Enzo Maresca says he still trusts Robert Sanchez despite error in Chelsea's defeat by Manchester City –
Jan 25th, 2025
Enzo Maresca insisted he still trusts Robert Sanchez to be Chelseaâs starting goalkeeper but added that he wants to see a reaction from the Spaniard to another costly error in Saturdayâs 3-1 defeat against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Sanchez, 27, made a rash decision to leave his goal line in the 68th minute, allowing Haaland to chip the ball over him into an empty net after getting the better of Trevoh Chalobah. It was his fifth error leading to a goal this season, more than any other player in the Premier League. Haalandâs goal put City 2-1 up after Josko Gvardiol had...

Minteh started, scored and provided an assist in last Sunday’s 3-1 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Gruda missed the previous two matches with a minor...
